With the Rugby World Cup kicking off this week FlySafair wanted to pay homage to the Springboks while ‘playing the game’ with its customers.
During the first four matches, FlySafair will offer discounts on flights in October and November. The amount of discount offered will depend entirely on how well the boys perform. When the boks score, the discount will get better, but when the opposition scores, the discount will be reduced.
To keep up with the game, fans are asked to follow @FlySafair on Twitter and to watch #FlySafairTouchDown during the games.
When the Boks kick off, FlySafair will start out with a 5% discount off net fares on all routes for travel in October and November. If South Africa scores a try, the price will go down by a further 5%, however, if the opposing team scores a try the price goes back up by 5% before taxes. The price will never go up higher than the actual ticket price.
For example in their match with Japan this Saturday, if South Africa scores three tries, then you could get 15% off your FlySafair ticket but if Japan scores a try, so that South Africa is only two tries up, the discount will be 10%.
Time your purchase so that during the match there is an optimal try gap between South Africa and the opposition. If you think the opposition team will win, you can hedge your bets on booking your ticket as the game starts for a 5% discount.
